HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOULIN ROUGE!
Spectacular spectacular! 10-time Tony winner Moulin Rouge! hits five years on Broadway, with over dazzling 1,400 performances! Based on the beloved 2001 Baz Luhrmann film of the same name, this crowd-pleasing big-budget musical extravaganza captures the spirit of the movie and adds updated song and dance numbers, keeping it fresh year after year.
Originally beginning performances in Boston in 2018 after a 2017 workshop, the show moved on to the Great White Way in 2019, with Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo in the main roles. After winning big at the 2020 Tony Awards (taking home 10 of its original 14 nominations) the show then announced a US tour, now on the way to a stage near you. The rest, as they say, is history!
